The biggest problem here is the fabric sleeve end still gets in the way unless you tether it to something. These zippers also make a fun game if you don't know if they are locked or not if you are putting the jacket on yourself. The arm strap attachment is also another unique factor not present in many straitjackets. The primary intent is for each arm to be independently connected to a D ring at the back of the hip. This defeats the primary means of escape where one is supposed to work their arms and the strap up over their head. However you can still clip the two snap hooks together for that traditional linkage, or go all out creative and hook the arms to other objects, put one arm forward and the other backwards, or any other devilish creative idea. While I'm not confident it would contain a strong individual intent of breaking free even if it tore the jacket it certainly puts up with a decent struggle.
